OUR HISTORY
The Corinthian Sailing Association of Lake Pontchartrain was established in 1983 as a non-profit club of 20 avid sailors providing a low-cost venue for racing sailboats on Lake Pontchartrain. Today, 20 years later, the CSA has grown to more than 80 members, including some of the more respected sailors in the Gulf South. But the CSA isn’t just about top-notch sailing; it’s also about first time skippers, beginners, and people who just want to get out on the water and have fun!
CSA sponsors about 26 annual races. Boat of the Year honors are determined by 12 championship races in four series spread throughout the year. Other races include the Spring Starlight Series, the Summer’s End Twilight Series, the Around the Lake 46nm night time race, a single-handed, a skipperette and several recreational cruises.
In addition to racing, the Corinthians promote knowledge and expertise of seamanship and sailing through educational programs
